50 Cent has joined the cast of the upcoming Street Fighter movie reboot, playing the disgraced boxer Balrog. He will be joining a star-studded cast that includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, and Orville Peck as Vega. The film is directed by Kitao Sakuri and is set to begin production in Australia this August. (COS)
FX is in the process of developing a pilot inspired by Mel Brooks‘ classic comedy film Young Frankenstein. Titled Very Young Frankenstein, the project has Brooks on board as an executive producer, along with Taika Waititi, who will also direct. The project marks another adaptation of Brooks’ work for TV, following Hulu’s History of the World, Part II. (Variety)
Adam Sandler has revealed plans for a new North American tour titled You’re My Best Friend, set to kick off this fall. The tour will cover over 30 major cities across the U.S. and Canada, with tickets already on sale. This tour follows Sandler’s previous tours in 2023 and 2024, with the latter recorded for a Netflix special. Happy Gilmore 2 drops July 25. (Variety)

Bert Kreischer will star in and co-create a new scripted comedy series on Netflix called Free Bert. CBS is in early development of a new single-cam comedy series called Blanks, created by comedian Aaron Karo. The show follows a serial dater whose life takes a turn when he realizes his biological clock is ticking, just as he meets the woman of his dreams who isn’t ready to settle down. Scott Wolf has been granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of his three children – sons Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and daughter Lucy, 11, whom he shares with estranged wife Kelley Wolf. According to court documents, Scott was also awarded a temporary restraining order against Kelley due to her behavior posing harm to their children. (People)
